A little glimpse of us

One week later...

Natalie is a week old...I wish every week of her life could last a month...I want her to be tiny forever! She still sleeps most of the day, but she's starting to open her eyes more. We had a relaxing first week with all the great help from Grammie. I'm still healing and trying to stay on top of pain meds. It's hard to compare how I'm doing with what it was like with Dawson....I don't remember much of the recovery 5 years ago....and this time the delivery was so different. One thing I'm thankful for is that climbing the stairs hasn't been an issue at all as I thought it might be.

One memory of our first few days at home was the trip to BabiesRUs to buy clothes for her already! I never thought that would be the first 'errand', but after we arrived home we quickly realized that she had very little to wear. She was definitely in 'newborn' size and other than sleeping 'gowns', we had about 3 things for her to wear. So we made a quick shopping trip so I wasn't doing laundry every 24 hrs. (though that seems to be happening anyway...)

Here's our cute peanut about to have her first bath at home...look at those sweet eyes!

She definitely wasn't this relaxed when the bath started! She calmed down and relaxed once she had that warm wash cloth on her tummy.

The helpful big brother in action again---he loved being able to comb her hair. I think she loved it too. :)
